Police: Man Arrested in Aggravated Assault Incident

Stephen Castrianni, of Spring City, allegedly entered a home without permission and attacked a man living in the home with his estranged wife.

Towamencin police arrested and charged a Spring City man with aggravated assault, burglary and additional charges after he allegedly entered the home of his estranged wife on May 29.

Stephen Castrianni is charged with aggravated assault, burglary, terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime, simple assault, defiant trespass and harassment, police said.

On May 29 at 5:30 p.m., police responded to a home on the 4400 block of Merchant Square Place. The woman in the home reported that her estranged husband, identified as Castrianni, 36, of the 2600 block of Pheasant Run Lane, entered her home through an unlocked door without notice or permission, police siad.

They got into a physical altercation, along with another male resident, police said.

During the fight, Castrianni was told to leave the home, after which he allegedly threatened to kill his wife, police said. Castrianni then allegedly attacked the male resident, police said.

Castrianni allegedly attempted to use a knife he had on him, but it was knocked out of his hand, police said. The male resident and Castrianni crashed through a lamp and a glass table, causing a laceration to Castrianni, police said.

Castrianni required medical treatment and was taken by ambulance to Abington Health Lansdale, police said.
