Items stolen from unlocked vehicles

Police said items were stolen from a parked truck on May 4 at 4:43 a.m. on the unit block of Black Cherry Court.

Police responded to a suspicious person call after a resident confronted a white male leaning inside a parked truck, police said. When the resident questioned the man, the suspect got into a silver vehicle and fled the area, police said.

Later that morning, stolen items, including two knives, a socket tool set and currency, valued at a total of $100, were taken from an unlocked vehicle on the same street, police said.

Items were also stolen from unlocked vehicles on Finch Way and Village Way, police said.

On May 9 at 3:22 a.m., police responded to a report of several subjects on foot with backpacks walking through properties on the 1300 block of Village Way, police said.

Police attempted to apprehend the subjects, but they fled, damaging a fence in the 1400 block of Village Way while fleeing, police said.

About $20 was discovered missing from a truck. A pair of $130 sunglasses and $5 was reported taken from another vehicle, police said. Several other unlocked vehicles had been entered, police said.

Interior parts stolen from parked car

Police said interior car parts were stolen from a vehicle parked at Accupac, 1501 Industrial Blvd., between 11 p.m. May 7 and 5 a.m. May 8.

Stolen items included door panels, consoles, the passenger front seat and other parts, police said. A GPS was also reported stolen.

The vehicle owner, an employee of Accupac, reported that he parked his silver 2003 Infiniti G35 in the lot adjacent to Wambold Road, police said.

The driver-side window was stuck down, so the owner placed a tarp over the vehicle, police said. When he returned to his car, the tarp was partially removed, and a major portion of the vehicle interior had been stolen.
