Upper Gwynedd Police are investigating a reported child luring incident that occurred in a wooded area of the Parkside Place walking trail near Beaver Street and Sumneytown Pike Thursday night.

"Hey little girl ... I want to talk to you ..."

Upper Gwynedd Police reported Friday that that statement was uttered by a white male standing in a wooded area on the Parkside Place trail to a 14-year-old girl Thursday at 8:10 p.m. near Beaver Street and Sumneytown Pike in the township, right before North Wales Borough.

Police said the girl was walking on the sidewalk toward Beaver Street from Parkside Place. The man stepped out from a secluded wooded area near the Parkside Place walking trail, police said.
