Prostitution Sting Operation in Montgomeryville Leads to 10 Arrests

Ten men were arrested after Montgomery Township Police and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau organized a sting operation targeting prostitution in Montgomeryville.

A sting operation by local law enforcement officials has led to the arrest of 10 men who allegedly patronized prostitutes.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Montgomery Township Chief J. Scott Bendig on Monday announced the arrests of Darryl Balisa, Donny Borisoff, Donte Butler, Louis Caparoni, Vincent Catanzaro, George Davis Jr., Scott Gulian, Udaya Neellagutta, Steven Pribis, and William Shunk.

On Thursday, Montgomery Township Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau organized a sting operation targeting human trafficking and the commercial sex trade in Montgomeryville.

As part of the sting operation, officers placed an online advertisement offering prostitution services and received hundreds of communications via text messages and phone calls, according to officials. Each defendant agreed to pay money for sexual services prior to their arrest.  

Criminal summons were filed Monday with Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy of Montgomeryville. Each defendant faces a preliminary hearing before Judge Duffy.  The exact dates of these hearings are pending, according to officials.

The cases will be prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jordan S. Friter.

The arrests are a result of a joint law enforcement initiative aimed at investigating and prosecuting individuals committing crimes related to human trafficking and the commercial sex trade in Montgomery County, specifically in local hotels, according to officials.
