One Dead, One Injured in Montgomery Township Shooting

The suspect involved in this morning’s shooting in Montgomery Township killed himself at the scene, according to information from Montgomery Township Police Department. A woman was injured in the shooting but her condition has not been released by authorities.

The shooting occurred shortly before 10 a.m. Monday at the 2200 block of Harvard Court in North Wales. When officers arrived at the scene, they found an Asian woman who was bleeding in her torso area. She was airlifted to the hospital at University of Pennsylvania, authorities said.

The Central Montgomery County SWAT Team was called to the scene and found a man, the suspect, dead from self-inflicted wounds, authorities said.

The identities of the suspect and the victim were not immediately released due to family notifications.
