Souderton Teen Cited in Upper Salford Crash

Anna C. Cornell, 18, allegedly proceeded through Schwenksville and Skippack roads without clearance, striking a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Lawrence Williams, of Harleysville.

A Souderton teenager was cited by Pennsylvania State Police for allegedly failing to properly stop and yield to traffic at a stop sign at Schwenksville and Skippack roads in Upper Salford on Saturday.
Anna C. Cornell, 18, was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry north on Schwenksville Road at 3:15 p.m. and allegedly proceeded through the intersection without clearance, police said, striking a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Lawrence J. Williams, 43, of Harleysville. Williams was west on Old Skippack Pike, police said.
Williams was unable to stop without hitting Cornell, police said, striking the Camry's front right side.
The Camry spun counterclockwise in a southbound direction, went into and out of a ditch on the southwest side of the intersection, continued across Schwenksville Road into another ditch, and came to rest in the northbound lane of Schwenksville Road, facing south, partially in the ditch and partially in the roadway, police said.
The Silverado traveled off the right side of the roadway and came to a final rest, police said.
There were no injuries, police said. Cornell was carrying a passenger, Mathew A. Harbort, 18, of Schwenksville. Williams was carrying a 14-year-old passenger, police said.
