Sprinkler Pipe Bursts, Floods Assi Plaza Lot
The frozen sprinkler pipe and subsequent burst and flood occurred Tuesday night.
The Reporter Online reports that a sprinkler pipe froze and burst in the vestibule of Assi on Welsh Road in Montgomery Township Tuesday night, causing the parking lot and entranceway to flood.
Montgomery Township Building Inspector Ken Kissinger told The Reporter that a second pipe had froze in Assi's restaurant, so the entire sprinkler system was shut down.
The strip containing Assi was closed to shoppers while the system was repaired.
