A parochial vicar at St. Stanislaus Church in Lansdale has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor indecent assault without consent of another and harassment, according to 6abc.com. Father John Roebuck, 64, of Lansdale, has been placed on administrative leave and relieved of his duties, per the report. The Archdiocese is being hush-hush about details, but called Roebuck's alleged actions "deeply troubling." A child was not the alleged victim, per 6abc. The charges stem from a Dec. 15, 2013 incident, according to court records. Roebuck is free on $50,000 unsecured bail. Roebuck was arraigned Friday afternoon before District Judge Albert Augustine in Skippack, per court records. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. in Augustine's court. Roebuck was assigned to St. Stanislaus on July 16, 2013 from parochial vicar at Saint Thomas the Apostle in Chester Heights. Stay tuned for more.
