Suspicious Van Parks at General Nash Elementary, Flees Area: Police

Towamencin Township Police are asking the public's help in solving a mystery: Why was a dark van backed up to a loading dock at General Nash Elementary Tuesday afternoon during recess and who was its driver?
Police said the suspicious occurrence took place at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the school at 1500 Liberty Bell Drive.
Police said school staff saw a dark gray van with a white top and ladder on the back parked near a loading dock at the school. The van was backed up against the building and was facing the recreation area when students were outside, police said.
Students were moved inside for safety. School security then investigated the van further, but it had left the area, police said.
No deliveries were made or expected during that time, police said. Police do not know why the van was there.
Investigation is focused on the identity of the driver and why he was parked in the area of the school, police said.
