'Suspicious' Vehicle Pulled Woman Over on Turnpike, State Police Say

The vehicle, which had emergency lights, stopped the woman while she was driving eastbound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Valley Forge and Norristown.

Pennsylvania State Police is warning residents of a suspicious car that pulled over a woman on the Pa. Turnpike last week.

The vehicle, which had emergency lights, stopped the woman while she was driving eastbound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Valley Forge and Norristown on Thursday at 7 a.m., The Times Herald reported.

The man was not wearing a uniform and asked the woman for her license, registration and insurance card. He let the woman drive away but never identified himself as an officer, The Times Herald reported.

State Police are investigating; officials are unsure at this time if the driver is a member of law enforcement. 

The car is described as a dark colored SUV with emergency lights on the front grille. State Police are advising anyone who has contact with a similar vehicle to call 911 immediately.
