Teen Arrested for Allegedly Dealing Weed From Apartment

Nine ounces of suspected marijuana were seized by police following surveillance at Broadmore Apartments in Lansdale

Nine ounces of marijuana, hash, drug paraphernalia and $1,800 were seized by Lansdale Police in an apartment in Lansdale following an investigation of alleged drug dealing by a 19-year-old man.

Gregory Eugene Olsen, 19, of , 639 S. Broad St., Lansdale, was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana from his apartment, police said. He faces one felony count and additional misdemeanor charges.

In June, police received information on Olsen's alleged dealing, police said. In July and August, Lansdale and Montgomery Township police, along with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office Municipal Drug Task Force, conducted a joint narcotics investigaton of Olsen, police said.

The investigation included surveillance and controlled buys of marijuana from Olsen at his apartment, police said.

On August 16, a search warrant was granted by District Judge Harold Borek, and was served on Olsen's apartment the next day by Lansdale and Montgomery Township officers, police said.

Seized was nine ounces of marijuana, suspected hash, more than $1,800 in cash, a digital scale, grinders, rolling papers, bongs and plastic baggies, police said.

Olsen was charged with the following:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance
  • Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Misdemeanor Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia

Olsen was arraigned August 17 before District Judge Harry Nesbitt of Horsham and bail was set at 10 percent of $25,000 cash, according to court records.

Olsen was taken to Montgomery County Prison in lieu of bail, police said. 

Olsen posted $2,500 bail on August 18, according to prison records.

A preliminary hearing is set for August 27 at 10:45 a.m. before Nesbitt, according to court records.
