Towamencin Man Busted Second Time in Two Months for Alleged Illegal Pill Possession

Michael Smagalski, 27, of Towamencin, was committed to prison in lieu of $50K cash bail

A man has been arrested a second time in two months for alleged possession of illegal pills, along with marijuana possession.

Michael Smagalski, 27, of the 800 block of Continental Drive, Towamencin Condominiums, Towamencin, was stopped at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 16 on Freedom Circle, located in Towamencin Condominiums, for an invalid registration, according to Towamencin Police.

Smagalski was allegedly found in possession of 63 pills believed to be Schedule II or Schedule IV controlled substances with potential for abuse, police said.

He was also allegedly in possession of eight plastic bags with suspected marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Smagalski was charged with possessioon with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, posssession of drug paraphernalia, receipt in commerce of a controlled substance, vehicle registration and certificate of title required, unauthorized transfer or use of registration and driving while an operating privilege is suspended or revoked, police said.

Smagalski was arraigned by and committed to Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000.00 cash bail, police said.
