A Towamencin man, who was convicted of and on probation for involvement in a knifepoint robbery in Lansdale in June 2012, is heading to state prison for three to six years after pleading guilty to an armed robbery in Norristown, according to The Times Herald.
Airen Kevin Emfinger, 23, of the 700 block of Weikel Road, will serve time at Graterford State Correctional Institution, per the report. Emfinger pleaded guilty to armed robbery Wednesday and was sentenced on the same day.
Emfinger, police said, was one of two men who barged into American Best Value Inn in Norristown with a shotgun in March, and robbed a man of $200. The man was in a room with a woman, who police believe set the victim up for the robbery. Read more on the Norristown incident here.
