Towamencin Police, Benevolent Association Food Drive Tonight

The second annual Holiday Food and Gift Drive runs through the holiday, but a special opportunity to donate will occur Saturday evening at Fischer's Park for the Festival of Lights

Towamencin Township Police Department and the Towamencin Police Benevolent Association are reaching out to the public for unwrapped new gifts, gift cards and non-perishable food items for Towamencin needy families.

Both organizations host the second annual Holiday Food and Gift Drive, which runs through the end of the year.

There is an opportunity to bring donations to Fischer’s Park this evening during the township’s Festival of Lights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fischer’s Park is at 2225 Bustard Road.

Santa Claus will be on hand at the Festival of Lights to help Towamencin Township Police personnel collect unwrapped new gifts, gift cards and non-perishable food. Officers will then distribute collected items to local families.

According to a press release, the Towamencin Police and TPBA Holiday Food and Gift Drive began this year to provide food and gifts to Towamencin Township families who have fallen on hard financial times.

Recipients of the gifts include neighbors who are sick or injured, who lost jobs due to layoffs or closings, and who are single parents free of abusive relationships.

Want to donate other than tonight? Drop off donations at Towamencin Township Police Department, 1090 Troxel Road, Lansdale, PA 19446.

Financial contributions can be sent to two addresses:

  • Towamencin Police Benevolent Association — Holiday Food and Gift Drive, P.O. Box 325, Kulpsville, PA 19443

  • Towamencin Township Police Department — Holiday Food and Gift Drive, 1090 Troxel Road, P.O. Box 303, Kulpsville, PA 19443.
