Lansdale Police have a warrant filed for the arrest of John Sambath, 19, of Philadelphia, who is the alleged shooter in a September 4, 2011 shooting in the Wedgewood development of the borough.
According to Matt Coughlin of The Intelligencer, Sambath allegedly shot a now 19-year-old man in the shoulder during an altercation in the neighborhood of Moyers Road.
According to court records, Sambath, of Asian nationality, is charged with 24 criminal offenses: felony criminal homicide, felony burglary, felony criminal trespass, two counts of felony aggravated assault, felony carrying a firearm without a license, felony discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, six misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, misdemeanor criminal mischief, eight misdemeanor counts of simple assault, misdemeanor possessing an instrument of crime, and misdemeanor terroristic threats.
Lansdale Police Sgt. Mike Trail told Coughlin that police know Sambath’s whereabouts and “can serve the warrant when needed.”
At the time of the incident, police were seeking three suspects in the shooting.
