Woman Charged with Giving Fake Name to Police

Carlisa Watson, 31, allegedly gave a fake name to police after they responded to a disturbance call Thursday night

Lansdale Police have charged a borough woman with allegedly providing a fake name to police during a disturbance call Thursday night.

Carlisa Yolanda Watson, 31, who resides in a converted attic at 17 W. Second Street, was charged with providing false identification to law enforcement, police said.

A preliminary hearing is pending before District Judge Harold Borek.

Police said officers responded to 17 W. Second Street at 7:40 p.m. Thursday for a report of a disturbance.

Watson allegedly identified herself to police as "Yolanda Ouzts," police said.

She initially refused police requests to determine what had taken place at the home, police said.

Watson was allegeedly uncooperative and argumentative, according to Lansdale Officer Christine Cohen.

After finally discussing the reason for the call, Watson was given police documentation, which she initialed "Y.O.", police said.

Later Thursday evening, police discovered her true name. When asked again, Watson, who remain agitated, allegedly continued to deny her legal name, even after Cohen informed her it was a crim to provide false identification to police, police said.

Watson eventually confirmed her true identity, police said.
