Anti-Romney, Ryan Pink Slip Event Thursday in Montgomeryville

A MoveOn.org petition where people will distribute one million Romney-Ryan pink slips will occur Thursday at Montgomery Mall

A group of individuals is organzing an anti-Romney-Ryan pink slip flyering event at 2 p.m. It is organized by Donna Cockenberg.

According to a MoveOn.org event post, the event is being done because Romney and Ryan's "extreme economic policies would cost the U.S. one million jobs in just one year and more than 4 million jobs by the end of 2014."

The event post claims a campaign to expose Romney as a 1 percent candidate is working.

"Voters need to know that Romney-Ryan will kill millions of jobs. Because this election will be won or lost on the issue of jobs, we're blowing up the disastrous job loss in the national media," the posting states.

The group is set to meet at the Montgomery Mall at 2 p.m. to distribute one million pink slips on the streets and get out "critical information" to the hands of voters.

"We'll gather at post offices, malls, libraries, and other high-traffic areas to distribute the pink slip flyers and make sure voters get the message," said the statement.
