Fitzpatrick Supports 'Clean' Bill to End Government Shutdown

U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick has broken ranks with House Republicans by supporting a 'clean' bill that will reopen the federal government.

U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-8) says he will vote for a 'clean" bill to reopen the federal government without trying to block President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, according to a Huffington Post report.

It will take 17 Republicans to join all of the House Democrats to pass such a bill. There are 14, including Fitzpatrick, as of Wednesday morning.

Joining Fitzpatrick are U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent of the Lehigh Valley and U.S. Rep. Jon Runyan of New Jersey. (Runyan is a former Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle).
