Hatfield Township Manager Moving On to Delaware

Haines submitted a resignation, effective Jan. 25, after nearly five years with the township

Hatfield Township Manager Andrew Haines is resigning from his position, effective Jan. 25, 2013, to become deputy manager of Newark, DE.

According to Bradley Schlegel of The Reporter, Haines, 34, sees the move as a long-term goal. Haines’ wife attended college in Delaware and lived in the state for 15 years.

Haines, a University of Delaware alum, previously served on Newark’s planning commission, according to the article.

Haines has been with Hatfield Township since 2008, when he was hired as assistant to former manager Stephanie Teoli, according to the article.
