Jenkins Ave. Utility Replacement Has 90-Day Timeline

SJM Construction Co. will be replacing terra cotta sewer and stormwater pipes under Jenkins Avenue with new larger capacity pipes. Construction could begin by Aug. 14.

Chances look good that, by Aug. 14, residents and businesses of Jenkins Avenue, between Line Street and Broad Street, will be disrupted by roadwork to replace failing stormwater and sewer lines.

According to The Reporter, Lansdale Borough held an information session Tuesday night for those affected by the roadwork. SJM Construction Co. expects a 90-day project, with dormancy to occur in cold winter weather, per the report. Paving is expected in Spring 2014.

SJM will install a manhole on Hector Alley, and do subsequent paving to lessen disruptions to residents.
