Lansdale Borough Manager Timi Kirchner announced Sunday night that Lansdale has activated its Emergency Management Plan in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy.

"(The borough) stands ready to respond to any incidents that result from Hurricane Sandy," Kirchner said.

Work crews from all borough departments will be available throughout the duration of the storm.

Borough offices are closed Monday, but staff will be available to take calls from borough residents.

Non-emergency calls for Lansdale should be made at 215-368-1691.

All emergencies in the borough should go through 9-1-1.
