In an e-mail to supporters, Rep. Schwartz said that she will speak during the 7 pm hour. The address will be nationally broadcast live on C-SPAN, and will also be viewable online through c-span.com's live streaming coverage.

Although there is no word on what Rep. Schwartz plans to say, the fourth-term congresswoman is part of a lineup of female politicians that includes minority leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Schwartz represents voters in Abington, Horsham, Upper Dublin, Lansdale, Montgomery, Springfield, Plymouth, Whitemarsh, Conshohocken, Ambler, Whitpain, Lower Merion, and Upper and Lower Moreland townships as part of the 13th district. She faces a challenge from Republican Joe Rooney this fall.

I agree Clean Renewable Energy is where we should be heading. In the U.S. we waste 50% to 90% of the energy we generate. Many countries are going renewable. Greed is keeping the U.S. stuck on Fossil Fuel. We will be left behind. I personally don't need the gas. I used the money I could have spent on gas or oil and bought energy efficient products, windows, insulation, and weatherstripping for our home. Now with about a cord of wood I use less than 1/2 tank of oil per year. (119 gallons last year) Our electric bill for our 1800 sq. ft. house averages $30.00 to 40.00 in the winter and 50.00 to 60.00 in the summer. I have 2 solar hot water collectors on my roof and a storage tank in the basement. They are provide 100% of my hot water needs. (No need for Gas) The breaker to my electric water heater has been off for 14 months. In the end the thing I like the most is I don't have to pay any taxes on the energy I don't use or the clean renewable energy I collect. Check your energy bills, the same can't be said for gas. Or coal, oil, and nuclear.

I forgot to mention all that methane released and gas burned will cause runaway global climate change.

@Smedley: You're full of gas, that's why you don't need any. Your BS is self sustainable!!

The studies I read from were featured in the book The Republican Mind by Chris Mooney (I have lent the book out to a friend recently so I do not have the specific studies on hand). These were the only studies I have seen that have been from non-biased sources (also a little common sense would be good from you by realizing that they drill deep beneath the groundwater for fracking, which is the reason why the water does not become poisoned if done in a responsible manner). I'm not sure why you think I have a god complex. In the end we both agree that we should be focusing more on renewable energy, so I don't know why you are insistent on arguing with me.
