Wine Tasting, Library Patron Celebration on Tap for Lansdale Library

Library Director Tom Meyer updated the Lansdale Library Committee Thursday on the success of the third annual Clean and Green Extravaganza.

Birthday celebration and wine — those are just two events coming up this month at Lansdale Library.

According to The Reporter, library director Tom Meyer updated the library committee Thursday on the upcoming events and how much was reaped during a recent third annual Clean and Green Extravaganza.

Meyer reported that the fundraiser/car wash/bake sale/electronic and metal recycling event netted $2,700, the most in its three-year history, according to the article.

The library is also planning a birthday party for longtime patrons to coincide with the Aug. 24 Founders Day event.

A wine tasting—with preliminary plans of featuring up to four local wineries and ticket prices of $20 to $30—will take place Aug. 24 as well.
