Distance Learning Comes to LC

Jean Broden, an Advanced Placement art history teacher at St. Hubert's in Philadelphia, can teach the same course simultaneously with Lansdale Catholic students via distance learning

It’s like Jean Broden never left Lansdale Catholic.

The former LC art history teacher, who now teaches at St. Hubert High School in Northeast Philadelphia, stays connected to her old school through distance learning, according to Elena Perri of CatholicPhilly.com.

Broden, who taught at LC for six years and holds a fine arts degree from Moore College of Art, teaches Advanced Placement art history at both schools, according to the article.

Broden’s distance learning course is a first for Lansdale Catholic; she admits in the article to adjusting her PowerPoint-heavy curriculum for the computer system.

Quizzes, according to the article, are done on one PowerPoint slide viewable by everyone. A Lansdale Catholic colleague brings students’ written tests back and forth from the school to Broden, according to the article.
