If the 3.2 percent increase is approved, full-time students would pay $1,896 a semester to attend.

Montgomery County Community College students may be paying more to attend school next year.

In its preliminary budget, the college is considering an increase of $5 per credit— a $4 per credit increase plus a $1 per credit hike in the comprehensive fee, the Intelligencer reported. Montgomery County Community College students currently pay $153 per credit hour, which includes a $5 comprehensive fee.

If the 3.2 percent increase is approved, full-time students would pay $1,896 a semester to attend.

The Intelligencer reported the college’s board will most likely vote on a final budget during its June meeting.
