Police: Knives Found in North Penn High School Student's Truck

An 18-year-old North Penn High School student will be summoned for weapons possession on school property after security found three knives in his pickup truck, police said

An 18-year-old student at North Penn High School will be charged with possession of weapons on school property via summons, after a 10-inch Gerber knife, a KA-BAR knife and a multi-blade knife were found in his vehicle, police said.

On Jan. 17, at 9:17 a.m., Towamencin Township Police responded to the high school on Valley Forge Road for a report of weapons possession on school property.

Upon arrival, police learned that school security officers saw an unoccupied pickup truck parked in an unauthorized parking space, police said.

The security officer saw numerous knives in the vehicle, police said.

Security found the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle and the truck was searched by security, police said.

The knives were turned over to Towamencin Police and the student was taken into the custody and later released, police said.

Police did not release the name of the 18-year-old student.
