The dream of a three-peat sank Saturday for the North Penn Maidens water polo team, as it failed to beat Cumberland Valley in the state final championship match, per The Reporter.
The top-seeded Cumberland Valley Eagles won in a 12-4 bout, per the report.
Standout North Penn players included Julie Krout, Shannon Quinn, Kelly Fellmeth and Erin O'Neill.
The Maidens last lost to Cumberland Valley in 2010.
