I can proudly say that my father has taught me several wonderful lessons. He has put me first since…Read More the day I was born. He has made my three boys a major priority since the day
they were born. He's given me several Uncles of which I'm proud to say have been an active part of my life forever & have treated me as though I was thier own as well. My Dad has shown several distinct qualities of my GrandPop & although I may hear him grumble when I say that, I wouldn't want him any other way. As a former United States Marine, a volunteer fire fighter with Fairmount for all of my childhood & being employed by the same company for more then 38 years, he has taught me a wonderful work ethic, how much it really does make a difference if you show up early for things & that you always, always keep your promises. No matter how rough around the edges others might think he is, I know that he is a big teddy bear inside. My Dad is my hero, even when I was so mad at him for whatever reason. He is the reason I am able to be an effective & productive single parent to my three wonderful boys, he has been so wonderful & has taken on the Dad roll that they need. My Dad totally rocks & I thank God every single day that he is MY Dad (even though every friend I have or have had in the past religiously call him Dad).
I love you Daddy! Happy Father's Day! Kitten

Most of the beutiful and elegant old…Read More buildings on West Market Street in center city Philadelphia went the same way back in the late 50's and 60's. Mayor Dilworth even wanted to tear down City Hall in Philadelphia, calling it a "Gray Elephant". How could anyone mistake beautiful Quaker Architecture for a "Gray Elephant"?...oh yeah! There was money to be made in tearing it down and building something else. Fortunately it was spared....much unlike our beloved Hotel Tremont.
