Alleged Condiment Crook Nabbed by Lansdale Cops

A man in a suit was seen by eyewitnesses being arrested Saturday afternoon in front of Lansdale Music Factory. In his alleged possession were various condiments, jars and glasses.

Lansdale Police officers detained and arrested a man Saturday afternoon for allegedly stealing condiments and glasses from a Lansdale business. The man was a bald white man in his 30s or 40s, wearing a suit, according to eyewitness photographs. Police found a bag on the man, which contained items like Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, creamer, jars, glasses and the like, according to eyewitness reports. An employee of Lansdale Music Factory said the man tried to book a hip hop jazz group at the music venue. Upon saying goodbye, the man was arrested for the alleged theft by police, according to eyewitnesses. Witnesses reported the man stole the items from West Main Diner. "I'm a chef. Lansdale Farmers' Market Blossoms in 2013 Season

Lansdale Farmers' Market begins Saturday. In its fifth year, the market has something to celebrate: its new nonprofit status. It also welcomes a new market manager and more vendors for the 2013 season through Nov. 2.

The Lansdale Farmers' Market, in many ways, is just like the crops its vendors sell from their stands and trucks each season. It began with a seed. In this case, an idea was planted in Lansdale Borough by a group of neighborhood residents, councilmembers and businessowners, such as Tabora Farms owner Caleb Torrice, Renew Community Church Pastor J.R. Briggs and Molly Whetstone.  In five years, the idea grew into a strong group of volunteers and fiscal agents. It branched off to influence vendors from Telford, Doylestown and beyond. The market lived and thrived and survived due to Saturday shoppers on Railroad Avenue. Montgomery Cemetery to Hold Memorial Day Observance

The Historical Society of Montgomery County’s annual Memorial Day Observance will take place on May 25.

The public is invited to the annual Memorial Day Observance, taking place at the historic Montgomery Cemetery, located at One Hartranft Ave. in West Norriton.  The Montgomery County Historical Society organizes the annual observance, which will begin at 11 a.m. The event will feature wreath lying, military reenactors, as well as other ceremonial observances. After the ceremony, light refreshments will be served at around 1 p.m. Other activities of the Memorial Day observance will include walking to certain gravesites. The event is free and open to the public.
