Godshall Announces $1.2M for North Penn Literacy

The grant is part of a $38 million state Department of Education grant for the Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy Program

North Penn School District will receive $1.2 million from a $38 million state Department of Education literacy program, which will help increase reading achievement in schools. Rep. Robert Godshall, R-53, announced the grant award Thursday. “The funding is being awarded to school districts in the form of Keystone to Opportunity grants to support literacy programs in various school districts,” said Godshall in a press release.  “The Keystone to Opportunity grant program aims to improve literacy learning outcomes and dramatically increase reading achievement among students at risk for academic failure.  I am happy to announce that North Penn School District will be receiving nearly $1.2 million.” According to the Pennsylvania Department of …
