Report: Montco Dems Gave $8,500 to Nonpartisan Lansdale PAC

A campaign finance report for 2012 for the Friends of Lansdale political action committee shows a major contribution from the Montgomery County Democratic Committee. The Lansdale PAC has also failed to submit required campaign finance reports.

A Lansdale political action committee (PAC) that identifies itself as nonpartisan has received thousands in contributions from the county Democratic organization, and has failed to file required documentation for its activities during the primary election cycle, according to county officials. The Montgomery County Democratic Committee in 2012 contributed $3,500, and in 2013 contributed $8,500, to the Friends of Lansdale Political Action Committee, according to 2012 and 2013 annual campaign finance reports. Yet, Friends of Lansdale, through its 2011 Political Committee Registration Statement, identifies itself as a nonpartisan PAC, meaning it has no affiliation to the Republican or Democratic parties. Even better, that PAC somehow has NO expenses to report, yet I've received at least 5 full-page full color mailers and a robo call? Manna Receives $3,000 Grant from Bottom Dollar Food

Manna on Main Street added $3,000 more to its coffers Friday afternoon, thanks to a grant from the Food Lion Charitable Foundation. The check was presented to Manna's Development Officer Kristyn Didominick at Bottom Dollar Food in Montgomeryville. "We applied for a grant through the Food Lion Charitable Foundation to purchase food for our pantry," Didominick said. "A lot of families we serve need fresh vegetables and fruits throughout the year." Food Lion and Bottom Dollar Food are owned by Delhaize America. "Food Lion put this together," said store manager Brian Egolf. "They provide grants to support local food pantries."
