Girl, 16, Testifies About Alleged Trysts With 22-Year-Old Towamencin Man

Julius Demetrius V, of Dock Village, faces 35 sex crime offenses, including 10 counts of felony statutory rape, for an alleged sexual relationship with a then 15-year-old girl that began on a family vacation in Panama

A 16-year-old girl took the stand at a preliminary hearing inside the courtroom of Judge Harold Borek in Lansdale Thursday morning and testified about alleged trysts with her friend’s 21-year-old brother that began in Panama and ended in Dock Village in Towamencin over a three-month period. Julius Demetrius V continues to be accused of 35 sex crimes, including 10 felony counts of statutory rape and three new charges of felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, as he heads to county arraignment October 24. Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Kathleen Colgan added the three new charges at Demetrius’ preliminary hearing. Ten felony counts of corruption of minors were amended to one felony count, and 10 felony counts of unlawful…

What a silly case. Mostly because she was 16 when it happened and she consented. Granted, he was an adult, she a minor. But, the fact of the matter is, they are making it out to be an involuntary rape as if she never agreed   more ›

Adele Wins 6, Foos 5 at Grammys

That's multi-winning Grammy superstar Adele. The Brit with the golden voice took home six Grammys Sunday night, including Record of the Year for "Rolling in the Deep" and Album of the Year for "21." Right on her tail were Foo Fighters, who took home five Grammys, including Best Rock Album for "Wasting Light" and Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for "White Limo." Bon Iver also won for Best New Artist, four years after the album debuted. Some musicians were notably absent from the show, including Best Rap Performance winners Jay-Z and Kanye West. The night was also chock full of great performances (Bruno Mars, Bruce Springsteen) and terrible performances (Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Coldplay). Did your favorite artist or group win last night? …
