Lansdale Woman, 71, Dies From Heat Wave, No A/C
Eight Pennsylvania residents have suffered heat-related deaths since last week's heat wave
A 71-year-old Lansdale woman has died as a result of last week's heat wave, according to WHYY Newsworks.org. Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Walter Hofman said the woman was found dead July 3. The cause of death was heart disease with heat stress as a contributing cause, according to Newsworks. A second woman from Rockledge, aged 57, also died as a result of last week's heat wave, according to the WHYY article. The Rockledge womanw as found dead July 2. According to The Intelligencer of Doylestown, neither woman's home had air conditioning. At least eight Pennsylvania residents have suffered heat-related deaths, according to Newsworks.
