Watch 12-12-12 Concert Live on Patch

The concert will benefit Hurricane Sandy victims, via the Robin Hood Foundation.

Some of the biggest names in music take the stage at Madison Square Garden for the live 12-12-12 concert for Sandy relief. While thousands of people fill the arena, billions are watching live on a variety of screens worldwide.  The concert is streaming live on television networks, movie theater screens and on the Internet, including right here on Patch. The pre-event coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. ET and the concert is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. The all-star lineup includes Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who, and Paul McCartney, with other artists to be announced. Five Things to Know Today: Jan. 14

The North Penn High School Model Aviation Club holds a free fun-fly event today. Check it out.

1. The North Penn High School Model Aviation Club hosts an Indoor Electric R/C Model Airplane Fun-Fly Event from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow at North Penn High School. Students, parents, community members and model aviation fans are welcome. About 50 R/C pilots and models are expected, in addition to vendors. 2. “Big Shot: The Ultimate Billy Joel Experience” comes to Sellersville Theater tomorrow at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and $40. 3. Doc Gibbs, one of the industry’s best percussionists, will perform tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.
