A Lansdale man — convicted of theft and currently on trial for prowling and felony trepass — was arrested Jan. 12 after he allegedly robbed scrap metal from Mattero's Recycling in broad daylight, hid it at Major Clean Car Wash, fled from police and ran six stop signs, and broke into and hid out at his ex-wife's house in Montgomery Township, while she, her husband and child were home. Ronald E. Solomon Jr., 31, of the 100 block of S. Chestnut St., is facing the following charges filed by Lansdale Borough Police: A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. Solomon was jailed on $5,000 cash bail, according to court records. Towamencin Township Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on the 2300 block of Old Forty Foot Road on January 10. Police said an undetermined amount of jewelry was taken in the burglary, which occurred between 10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. An inventory of items stolen is still being conducted, police said. Entry was gained by force through the front entry door of the home, police said. Call Towamencin Police at 215-368-7606 with any information on the incident.

Towamencin Township Police are investigating a burglary that occurred January 3 on the 1700 block of Kriebel Road. Police said a jewelry box and its contents were taken from the home. The burglary occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Entry was made through the front door of the home, police said. Call Towamencin Police at 215-368-7606 with any information.

There was sufficient evidence Tuesday morning to prove the case of criminal trespassing, harassment and intimidation against Philadelphia man Terry Mendez. Mendez is accused of intimidating a witness to stop her from cooperating in two pending court cases against him, even allegedly breaking into her home to harass her. According to Dan Sokil of The Reporter, Mendez, 27, of the 900 block of Bridge Street, Philadelphia, had a felony count of criminal trepass, summary harassment and misdemeanor intimidating a witness held over for Montgomery County trial at Lansdale district court. A Lansdale man and an Ambler man, charged in two armed home invasions that occurred on the 700 block of Willow Street in October 2012 in Lansdale, waived all charges to county arraignment at their preliminary hearings Thursday afternoon. Salvatore Joseph Rocco Jr., 22, of the 400 block of Church Road, Lansdale, and Anthony Thompson, 22, of the 400 block of Railroad Avenue, Ambler, face the following offenses at their formal arraignments Feb. 13 at Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas: A third suspect, Zakarias Hailemicael, 22, whose last known address was the 2400 block of Whitpain Hills Drive in Blue Bell, remains at large, police said. Terry Mendez, of the 900 block of Bridge Street, Philadelphia, will face a felony burglary charge and additional charges at a preliminary hearing on Jan. 8, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Mendez is free on $10,000 unsecured bail, according to court records. Four Montco men have been arrested in connection with a summertime burglary spree that struck more than 25 single-family homes across the tri-county area. A Hatfield man, who allegedly was caught by a homeowner burglarizing their home on Douglass Road in Montgomery Township on Nov. 14, heads to Montgomery County court following a preliminary hearing Monday, according to The Reporter.
