A Lansdale man convicted of first-degree murder in 1985, and who was arrested in a June 12 prostitution sting on West Main Street, had drug charges dismissed at a preliminary hearing Thursday morning before District Judge Harold Borek. Robert DeFrancesco, 53, of the 700 block of York Avenue, Lansdale, was taken into custody June 12, along with Kristen Stephen and Janet DeFrancesco, no relation. DeFrancesco remains at Graterford Prison on a state parole violation. During the hearing Thursday, Sgt. Lansdale Police said an alleged prostitution sting led to the arrest of a suspected heroin dealer in the borough. John Nicholas Gallagher, 45, of the 500 block of Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, was arrested June 22 at his home after a search warrant was served and heroin was found in his home, police said. Gallagher's arrest was the result of a narcotics investigation that began with the arrest of two alleged prostitutes on West Main Street in Lansdale earlier this month. Police and county detectives are searching for four individuals charged in connection with a multiple county methamphetamine trafficking ring
Of the 32 suspects arrested and charged in connection with a major multiple county methamphetamine trafficking bust in May, four remain uncaptured by county authorities. The four suspects charged and yet to be arrested are: Perales has no criminal docket filed in the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System. The other three suspects have cases listed as "inactive" in the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System. Beck is charged with 30 offenses, including 17 felonies: four counts of Corrupt Organizations; six counts of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver; and six counts of Dealing in Unlawful Activities. Here are the individuals scheduled for hearings Wednesday: Ryan Burns, of 804 Marlbrook Lane, Upper Gwynedd (Madison at Willowyck), has had his preliminary hearing continued four times since his May 4 preliminary arraignment, according to court records. Four suspects busted May 8 in a methamphetamine trafficking ring across Philadelphia and Montgomery counties waived charges against them to county court during a preliminary hearing Thursday before District Judge Andrea Duffy in Montgomeryville. One of the "big players," according to Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Jason Whalley, is Francesco "Frank" Messina, of 719 Schwab Road, Hatfield Township. Messina waived all charges to county court July 5. Messina, feet and hands shackled, shuffled into the courtroom with his head down in a blue Montgomery County Prison jumpsuit. A total of 32 suspects were arrested in connection with a methamphetamine distribution network which spanned from northern Montgomery County to Philadelphia.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman has announced the arrest of 32 suspects in connection with a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation, which spanned from northern Montgomery County to Philadelphia and included 12 residents of Lansdale Borough and Hatfield, Towamencin, Montgomery and Upper Gwynedd townships. Methamphetamine was recovered from a motorcycle repair shop in Lansdale, according to the report, just one of many locations where police executed a search warrant. One of those arrested in charged with drug violations include Ronald Krauss, owner of Bad Ronald's Custom Tattooing in Lansdale. Heather Diottavio, 29, found slumped forward in her car
A Hatfield woman was busted with Thursday with wet, the street name for PCP-laced weed, after police found her slumped forward, asleep in her car. Heather Diottavio, 29, of the 1100 block of Emerald Avenue, Hatfeild, was arrested and charged with possession of personal use of marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and public drunkenness, police said. Police found Diottavio allegedly slumped foward behind the wheel of a white Buick sedan at Walnut Street and West Second Street in Lansdale. An officer approached the Buick to check on Diottavio, and noticed she had a strong slur to her voice, an odor of alcohol on her breath and an odor of burning marijuana coming from her car, police said. …
