In the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut on Dec. 14, North Penn School District has begun scrutinizing its security and intruder drills at each school. According to Jennifer Lawson of The Reporter, North Penn will be boosting its security at school entrances. It is also planning on increasing the number of intruder drills from two per year. Fire started between carbon dioxide cylinder and grease trap in rear of building
Towamencin Fire Marshal Kevin Pezzano and Towamencin Police are still investigating a fire that broke out in the rear of Blue Dog Pub Friday night around 10:15. At this time, the fire is deemed as "suspicious," according to Towamencin Vol. Fire Co. Chief Dean Miller. "It's suspicious at this point. We're not sure if it was mechanical or otherwise," said Miller. "The process is to eliminate all possibilities and see what we have left."
