Police: Man Faked Robbery So Parents Wouldn't Get Mad About Missing Cash

William Graef III, 22, of Oak Road in Hatfield, allegedly faked an armed robbery in Hatfield Borough so he had a reason to tell his parents why he did not have $98 he was supposed to have on him, police said

A Hatfield Township man, charged with faking a report last week of an armed robbery in Hatfield Borough's Centennial Park, made up the story, police said, so he had a reason to tell his parents why he did not have the $98 he was supposed to have in his possession. William Graef III, 22, of the 2000 block of Oak Road, faces misdemeanor charges of unsworn falsification to authorities and false reports to law enforcement authorities, at a Feb. 6 preliminary hearing at 9:30 a.m. before District Judge Kenneth Deatelhauser, police said. Graef III is free on $10,000 unsecured bail; if Graef III fails to appear at his scheduled hearing, then a warrant will be issued for his arrest and he will be responsible for the $10,000 cash bail. Man Nabbed for Alleged Theft of Wallet from Florida Woman

Joseph Robb, 53, was allegedly found in possession of the specific currency denominations, including two coins, that a Kissimmee, FL woman reported stolen from her purse while waiting at the Lansdale train station

A man with no fixed address, according to police, has been incarcerated following arraignment July 21 on receiving stolen property and drug charges stemming from an incident at the Lansdale train station. Police said Joseph Douglas Robb, 53, was allegedly found in possession of $500 cash and coins reported stolen from a purse of a Kissimmee, FL woman who was waiting for a train at Lansdale train station. Robb was also found in possession of a crack pipe, police said. Robb was arraigned July 21 before District Judge Deborah Lukens on a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property, misdemeanor possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, police said.
