Ambler Teen Charged in Lansdale Hit-and-Run

Justin Murphy, 19, of S. Chestnut Street, is charged with a misdemeanor and two summary offenses for allegedly leaving the scene of a hit-and-run at Main and Broad streets in Lansdale April 15 in a VW Cabriolet.

Lansdale Police believe the driver of a black VW Cabriolet that allegedly hit a vehicle at Main and Broad streets April 15 is Justin Murphy, 19, of the 100 block of South Chestnut Street, Ambler Borough. Murphy has been arrested, charged and arraigned with misdemeanor accidents involving an occupied vehicle, and summary charges of careless driving and driving the wrong way on a one-way road, according to court records. Murphy has a preliminary hearing before District Judge Harold Borek in Lansdale on August 15. Police said they received information the day after the hit-and-run from an Ambler Borough Police officer that he or she recognized the black VW Cabriolet suspect vehicle after seeing a picture of it in the press. Norristown Man Charged With Sexual Assault of Children in Lansdale

Sean Rahatt, 41, is facing more than 100 felony and misdemeanor charges for what police say was the repeated sexual assault of young children in Lansdale, Norristown and Collegeville.

A Norristown man is being held in county prison on $99,000 bail after being arrested and charged with the repeated sexual assault of multiple young victims in Lansdale, Norristown and Collegeville. According to an affidavit of probable cause, 41-year-old Sean Rahatt allegedly sexually assaulted the juveniles, who were under the age of 13, on multiple occasions over a 12-year period. The incidents are said to have occurred in Norristown, Collegeville and Lansdale over that time period. According to the affidavit, Rahatt allegedly told a witness that he had been abused prior and was "reenacting his past." He also reportedly attempted to justify his actions by putting them in historical context, saying similar activity occurred in Roman times…

Hatfield Teen Charged With Alleged Heroin Sales

Harley Duval, 19, of the 1300 block of Needham Circle, allegedly sold nine bags of heroin to an undercover Lansdale Borough drug task force officer. He is charged with five felonies and nine misdemeanors.

A Hatfield teenager who allegedly sold nine bags of heroin to an undercover Lansdale Borough drug task force officer has been arrested and charged with heroin sales in the borough. Harley Duval, 19, of the 1300 block of Needham Circle, has been charged with three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin, two felony counts of criminal use of a phone, three misdemeanor counts of possession of heroin, three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and three misdemeanor counts of receipt in commerce, according to court records. Third Man Wanted in Hatfield Tasing, Robbery Turns Himself In

Richard Lee Stroud, 20, of Philadelphia, allegedly conspired with Jeremiah White of Pottstown and Sarah Nodecker of Montgomery Township to rob a man who met the trio for a test drive of a car Feb. 24.

The Philadelphia man wanted by Hatfield Township Police for his alleged involvement in the Tasering and robbery of a man inside a vehicle on Feb. 24 turned himself into police Wednesday. Richard Lee Stroud, 20, of a third floor apartment on the 600 block of North 43rd Street, faces charges of  felony robbery with immediate serious bodily injury, felony robbery with taking property by force, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, felony theft, felony receiving stolen property, felony criminal use of a cell phone, possessing an instrument of crime, and felony use or possession of an electric or electronic incapacitation device, police said. 'Gingerbread Man' Arrested on Felony Drug Warrant

Mark William Gross Jr., 21, of the 1000 block of Stoneham Circle, Hatfield, taunted police on the Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch Facebook page, during the period of time when a warrant was out for his arrest.

Pot Dealer Sold to Undercover Cop in School Parking Lot, Police Say

Leon Erwin Nazian, 58, of the 300 block of Chelsea Road, Fairless Hills, and employee of Lansdale Meats and Deli, allegedly sold an ounce of marijuana to an undercover cop in Lansdale in the parking lot of Mater Dei Catholic School.

A Bucks County man has been arrested and charged with selling a total of three ounces of marijuana to an undercover Lansdale cop in the parking lot of Mater Dei Catholic School on three occasions. Pennick allegedly pushed his mother, Lorraine Pennick, 74, down their basement stairs and then slit her throat, for fear of her becoming "homeless" due to their inability to pay for repairs for the home, police said. Upper Gwynedd Township Police have arrested a Lansdale man for allegedly brandishing a firearm in the drive-thru of Wendy's at South Broad Street and White's Road. Daniel J. Costello, 22, of West Mount Vernon Street, was charged Sunday with felony carrying a firearm without a license, misdemeanor terroristic threats that caused a serious public inconvenience and disorderly conduct, according to court records. Costello was arraigned before District Judge Deborah Lukens, who set bail at $5,000 cash, according to court records. Costello was remanded to Montgomery County prison in lieu of bail.
