Alleged Credit Card Thieves Sought, Bought Lots of Newports

Lansdale Police are attempting to identify a male and female who used a stolen credit card along the Route 63 corridor from Lansdale to Philadelphia on November 20

Lansdale Police are attempting to identify a man and woman who are suspects in the theft and fraudulent use of a credit card along the Route 63 corridor from Lansdale to Philadelphia on November 20. Police said the suspects used the card to purchase Newport cigarettes at every location, mostly Wawa stores. The use of the credit card occurred beteeen 4:39 a.m. and 6:09 a.m. Nov. 20. The suspects were last seen occupying a compact, dark-colored vehicle, police said. Call Lansdale Police at (215) 368-1801 if you recognize the persons in the surveillance photos. Tobacco-Free Zones Established in Lansdale Parks

Tobacco use is now banned from pools, parks, athletic fields, ballfields, tennis and basketball courts — and everywhere else children play on borough-owned properties

Smokers and chewing tobacco addicts — it's now illegal to feed your addiction anywhere that children play in Lansdale Borough. If you do, you will be ejected from the area. With a unanimous vote last week, Lansdale Borough Council snuffed out tobacco use with a tobacco ban at pools, athletic fields, ballfields, tennis courts, basketball courts — and everywhere else that children play on borough-owned properties. Signs will soon be posted designating such places as tobacco-free zones under Penn State Cooperative Extension and Pennsylvania Department of Health's Southeastern Pennsylvania Tobacco Control Project's "Young Lungs at Play" campaign. Lukoil Burglarized in Montgomery Township

The suspect smashed the glass door with a hammer, police said, and ended up taking nothing from the store

Montgomery Township Police are investigating a burglary that occurred around 12:56 a.m. at the Lukoil/Kwik Farms convenience store at 913 Bethlehem Pike, Montgomery Township. Video surveillance showed the burglar smashed out the front glass door of the store with a hammer, police said. The burglar entered the store carrying a white plastic bag, then went behind the counter and began to look through the cabinets, police said. It is believed the burglar was looking for cartons of cigarettes, police said. The burglar did not take anything from the store. The suspect is described as a white male with a muscular build, close cut hair, with a goatee and mustache, police said. He was wearing a black baseball hat, a white short-sleeve shirt, blue …
