A Lansdale man arrested by Lansdale Police on Feb. 1 for allegedly selling heroin in the borough, following a six-month investigation by the Lansdale Police Street Crimes Unit, had his preliminary hearing continued Tuesday to March 5. Paul Michael Gensert, 33, of the 300 block of Acorn Street, is charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, two misdemeanor counts of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor receipt/purchase of a controlled substance, police said. The preliminary hearing against 2011 convenience store robbery suspect Jurell Smalls, 20, was continued by District Judge Harold Borek Tuesday, due to a court-certified Bengali interpreter not assigned to the hearing. Borek chastised Lansdale Police and the Montgomery County prosecutor's office for not notifying Lansdale district court 38-1-28 that an official interpreter was needed for the hearing. Montgomery County ADA Heather Levandoski called victim Abdul Chowdhury and another Bengali man to the stand, but were stopped by Borek. Borek called recess and spoke with the county court administrator. Ronald Heitz, 20, of Wedgewood Drive, Lansdale, is facing two preliminary hearings for two incidents in Lansdale Borough: a robbery at N. Mitchell and W. Fifth and heroin possession in Fifth Street Park
Two preliminary hearings for Ronald Heitz, 20, of the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive, Lansdale, have been continued Thursday for 60 days by District Judge Harold Borek. Heitz is facing charges in two separate incidents that occurred in Lansdale. Heitz was busted with five plastic bags of heroin in a backpack while hanging out with a 15-year-old female in Fifth Street Park on July 5, police said. On July 16, Heitz was arrested and charged in an alleged strong arm robbery that occured at N. Mitchell Avenue and West Fifth Street. Heitz is charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in the July 5 incident, police said. Jacob Krewson, 20, is taking anger management classes, according to court officials
A 20-year-old Lansdale man accused of slapping his pregnant girlfriend and slamming her head into a car window, had his preliminary hearing continued in court Wednesday to Dec. 11, 2012. According to court officials, Jacob Krewson, of the 900 block of Walnut Street, is enrolled in anger management classes. At his preliminary hearing, Krewson faces charged of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, police said. Krewson was represented by public defender Fiorindo Vagnozzi. Charges against Krewson stem from a June 7 altercation. Police responded at 5:01 p.m. to Walnut and Ninth streets for a report of a fight.
