Lower Salford Man ID'd as Driver Killed in Harleysville Crash

Update Monday, Dec. 3 Lower Salford Police have identified the driver killed in an accident in Harleysville Friday afternoon as Christopher Detweiler, 42, of the 100 block of Morris Road, Lower Salford. Earlier Story A Harleysville resident died as a result of a one-car crash on Quarry Road near  Stover Road Friday afternoon. According to Breaking News Network, one person was trapped in a vehicle. A driver was rescued from a vehicle, and flown by Mid-Atlantic MedEvac 3, according to BNN. According to The Reporter, the driver was flown to Hahnemann Hospital, but did not survive injuries sustained from the crash. One Injured in Minor NPHS Bus Crash

A student who complained of pain was transported to Lansdale Hospital for evaluation.

A North Penn High School student was taken to Lansdale Hospital on Monday afternoon after the school bus in which she was a passenger was rear-ended at one of the exits from the high school's campus. The bus, number 63, suffered minor cosmetic damage to its back end when it was struck by a black Ford Taurus, which had to be towed from the scene. Sergeant Paul Wiechec of the Towamencin Police Department said the Taurus had been struck by a red Pontiac Firebird whose operator had admitted mistakenly stepping on the accelerator and brake pedal at the same time. The impact of the Firebird then propelled the Taurus into the back of the bus. The drivers of the Firebird and the Taurus were said to be unhurt. No other injuries were reported.

Update: Victims ID'd in Fatal Silverdale Crash

The accident occurred Saturday evening at Routes 152 and 113. The victims are Mary E. Dodds, 49, of Montgomery Township, and Stacy Byrne, 32, of Croydon

Monday 12:51 a.m. Update The victims in Saturday's fatal accident in Silverdale Borough have been identified. The driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier was identified as Stacy Byrne, 32, of Prospect Avenue of Croydon, police said. The driver of the Toyota Camry — which hit the Cavalier from behind, struck a rock and went airborne — is identified as Mary E. Dodds, 49, of the 100 block of Damson Lane, Montgomery Township, police said. The passenger in the Cavalier who was injured was Byrne's husband, Ian Byrne. Police Nab Three Theft Suspects After Pursuit

Two black females and one black male reportedly committed retail theft from a store in Montgomeryville and fled from police after a traffic stop. The car crashed on Route 309 in Lower Gwynedd, and the suspects allegedly fled the scene before being caught

Three suspects — two who are convicted thieves and one headed to trial on separate theft charges — in Sunday afternoon's retail theft at Olly Shoes at Airport Square in Montgomery Township, and subsequent crash and foot pursuit with police, are in custody and face numerous misdemeanor offenses. One Dead in Route 309 Crash in Hilltown

A woman was ejected out the passenger side window after she hit the median in her Mercedes-Benz

A woman is dead after being ejected from her 1997 Mercedes-Benz on Route 309 near Route 113 in Hilltown Township Wednesday afternoon. According to the Perkasie News-Herald, the woman was ejected out the passenger side window and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hilltown Township Police told the News-Herald that the woman had been driving northbound on Route 309, when she went off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail. The car then ricocheted across both lanes and hit a dividing median, according to the article. Allentown Road Closed Monday Morning After Driver Hits Pole

Towamencin Police are attempting to identify the driver

Allentown Road was closed for several hours Monday morning between Weikel Road and Valley Forge Road following a one-vehicle accident where the driver struck a utility pole near Inglewood Elementary School. Towamencin Township Police are attempting to identify the driver, who is an adult male and the only occupant of the vehicle, police said. The man was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital via Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale after suffering injuries in the accident, police said. The man was conscious at the scene. Two Injured in Head-On Towamencin Crash

A female driver was transported to Lansdale Hospital and flown for treatment of a leg injury following an accident Wednesday morning on Allentown Road near Central Drive

Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision Wednesday morning at Allentown Road and Central Drive in Towamencin Township, according to Geoff Patton of The Reporter. Officer Travis Wood of Towamencin Police told The Reporter that a male driver swerved into the westbound lane of Allentown Road, striking a westbound vehicle driven by a female. An Ohio man was killed and a home was destroyed in Polk, Ohio Tuesday afternoon, after a semitrailer driven by a North Wales man collided with a flatbed truck at an intersection. Three people were injured in the crash at Ohio 302 and U.S. 42. According to the Mansfield News Journal, James P. Dutton, 49, of Neshaminy Falls Circle in Montgomery Township, was pulled to safety by bystanders following the crash. Killed in the accident was Detin R. Moore, 27, of Norwich, Ohio. Lansdale Woman Injured in New Jersey Crash

Emeline Strobel-Chong, 21, suffered back injuries following an Oct. 7 crash in West Amwell, NJ where she hit another vehicle

A Lansdale woman was injured and subsequently charged in an Oct. 7 crash in West Amwell Township, NJ, according to the Hunterdon County Democrat. Emeline Strobel-Chong, 21, was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center for back injuries, according to the article. Police said Strobel-Chong was northbound on Route 31, when she made a left turn onto Linvale-Harbourton Road into the path of a vehicle driven by James Destefano, 33, of Portland, OR, according to the article. Strobel-Chong was cited for careless driving, according to the article. Destefano’s passenger, Toni Verrilli, 39, of Portland, OR, suffered neck injuries, but  declined medical assistance, according to the article.

Morning Crash Closed DeKalb Pike for Over Two Hours

From Whitpain Township Police Department: The Whitpain Township Police Department is investigating a crash that occurred in the intersection of DeKalb Pike and Cherry Lane on Friday, September 14 at 9:45 a.m. A silver Honda Accord operated by Phillip Gardocki, 76 years of age of Norristown, collided head-on with a brown Jeep Cherokee being operated by Brian Kiester, 23 years of age from Harleysville. DeKalb Pike was closed between Jolly Rd. and Skippack Pike for approximately 2 1/2 hours. Phillip Gardocki was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by PennStar.
