The Pennsylvania State Police have announced that they will conduct another sobriety checkpoint this coming weekend, between the evening hours of Friday, August 3, and the early morning hours of Sunday, August 5. Though the press release does not identify the specific location of the checkpoint, it does state that the checkpoint will be posted somewhere in western Montgomery County, with the help of a local municipal police force. The release urges motorists to make responsible decisions before getting behind the wheel, and adds that sobriety checkpoints have been shown to reduce the number of alcohol and drug related crashes.

North Penn High School seniors learn about the consequences of drunk driving at a Thursday morning presentation
A white Mercedes-Benz and a maroon Hyundai sedan collided Thursday morning near the bus circle at North Penn High School. There were numerous victims and at least two casaualties: one was transported by Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale to the hospital and another was MedEvaced by PennStar. Luckily, it was all a re-enactment to show the dangers and consequences of drunk driving. The school held its annual event for seniors, right near the May senior prom and graduation. A follow-up assembly will take place Friday morning in the high school auditorium. District Judge Andrea Duffy of Montgomeryville and Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Brad Richman. Suspect was vomiting, taken to hospital
A man driving a green Cheverolet pickup was arrested by the Hatfield Police Department early Monday morning, on suspicion of driving under the influence after officers made a traffic stop on Oak Boulevard. Shortly after 1 a.m., the suspect's vehicle was pulled over while traveling south on Oak Boulevard. Multiple units from the Lansdale and Towamencin Police Departments arrived shortly after. Upon exiting the vehicle, the driver showed signs of impairment, including a loss of balance and slurred speech. Police quickly arrested the man, who vomited on the street several times prior to being placed in the back of the patrol car.
