LuLu Circus, Seeing Eye Puppy Fundraiser Highlight the Week

A look at a few of the events in our area this week.

Ladies Night Out: Color Me Mine in Montgomery Township offers 20 percent off all ceramics for ladies who come in to paint on Thursday evening. Montgomery County 4H Seeing Eye Puppy Club Fundraiser: Eat at Margaritas in Towamencin Tuesday evening and 15 percent of your bills goes to the Montgomery County 4H club. LuLu Shrine Circus: LuLu Shriners will present seven complete three-ring circus shows outdoors in a 4,000-spectator facility, from Thursday to Sunday.

Bike Safety Rodeos, National MS Walk Highlight the Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the North Penn area.

Lansdale Bike Safety Day: Strap on the helmet and pedal over to White’s Road Park Saturday morning for Lansdale’s bike safety workshop, complete with inspections, skills events and free helmets. Corpus Christi Bike Safety Rodeo: Knights of Columbus hosts the second annual free Family Bicycle Safety Rodeo in the parish parking lot in Upper Gwynedd on Saturday morning. There will be inspections, skills events and music. All participants must wear and bring bike helmets. Walk MS 2013: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk MS 2013 is Sunday at North Penn High School.

Five Things to Know Today: Earth Day, Stony Creek Cleanup and More

Happy Earth Day everyone!

1. Numerous events and activities are scheduled in North Penn School District to recognize Earth Day today. 2. Merck’s Preclinical Sciences LINK Community Outreach Team and West Point Discovery will volunteer today from 8:30 to 3 at Stony Creek Park in Lansdale as part of the Stony Creek Beautification Project. About 30 volunteers will weed, mulch and cut back ornamental grasses. 3. NP PAL Leukemia Fundraiser, Spring Vendor Night Highlight the Week

A look at a few of the events this week in the North Penn area.

North Penn PAL Matthew Knoebel Fundraiser: The North Penn Police Activities League holds a fundraiser all day Saturday at Penndale Middle School in Lansdale for 13-year-old Matthew Knoebel, of Lansdale, who is battling leukemia. The event features cops versus kids basketball games and Old Navy fashion shows. West Main Diner Spring Vendor Night: The diner in Lansdale holds its first annual Spring Vendor Night on Monday. There will be 15 vendors, such as Origami Owl, Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay and more. All proceeds benefit “Friends of Garrett,” a 2-year-old Lansdale boy battling leukemia. “Welcome Wednesday” Grace Christian School Tours: The kindergarten to sixth-grade school in Telford holds community open houses Wednesday morning.

Jamie and Karen Moyer at “Well into the Future”: Former Phillies pitcher and Souderton native Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen, will talk about his big league career at Calvary Church, 820 Route 113, Souderton, on Friday night. International Spring Festival: The 22nd annual International Spring Festival comes to North Penn High School in all its multicultural glory Saturday. Lansdale Comedy Night: James Royale and Keith Purnell plan to keep the laughs coming at a Lansdale Business Association Mural Project benefit at Marjeane Caterers in Lansdale Friday night. Tickets are $45.
