Update Monday, Dec. 3 Lower Salford Police have identified the driver killed in an accident in Harleysville Friday afternoon as Christopher Detweiler, 42, of the 100 block of Morris Road, Lower Salford. Earlier Story A Harleysville resident died as a result of a one-car crash on Quarry Road near Stover Road Friday afternoon. According to Breaking News Network, one person was trapped in a vehicle. A driver was rescued from a vehicle, and flown by Mid-Atlantic MedEvac 3, according to BNN. According to The Reporter, the driver was flown to Hahnemann Hospital, but did not survive injuries sustained from the crash. A woman was ejected out the passenger side window after she hit the median in her Mercedes-Benz
A woman is dead after being ejected from her 1997 Mercedes-Benz on Route 309 near Route 113 in Hilltown Township Wednesday afternoon. According to the Perkasie News-Herald, the woman was ejected out the passenger side window and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hilltown Township Police told the News-Herald that the woman had been driving northbound on Route 309, when she went off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail. The car then ricocheted across both lanes and hit a dividing median, according to the article. A three-car collision occurred Thursday morning at Bethlehem Pike and Advance Lane in Hatfield Township. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and a second driver was airlifted for medical treatment.
UPDATE 10:45 P.M. Dr. Walter Hofman, coroner of Montgomery County, has identified the victim in the Thursday morning crash as Nathaniel Rocque, 25, of Quakertown. UPDATE THURSDAY 2 P.M. The male driver of a red Toyota Corolla died at the scene of an accident Thursday morning at Bethlehem Pike and Advance Lane in Hatfield. According to Dan Sokil of The Reporter, the driver was northbound on Bethlehem Pike/Route 309 and drifted into the inside southbound lane. Pennsylvania State Police said two people were killed shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon in a crash on the northbound lanes of Route 309 between East Valley Green Road and Camp Hill Road at the eastern edge of Whitemarsh Township. Route 309 was closed northbound just before the Paper Mill Road interchange from shortly after the crash until about 6:30 p.m. Breaking News Network, a service that monitors emergency radio transmissions, reported to Lansdale Patch that the victims were pushing a disabled vehicle on the roadway when they were struck from behind by another vehicle.
