Serial Masturbator Suspect Waives Charges

Gerald Boyce Jr. had the number of counts reduced, but all charges remain against the Lansdale man

Gerald Boyce Jr., of the 600 block of Wissahickon Avenue, Lansdale, on Thursday afternoon waived all charges against him during a preliminary hearing before District Judge Harold Borek to arraignment at the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in July. Boyce will be arraigned in county court on July 18 at 9:30 a.m. Boyce is a suspect in five public masturbation incidents wherein eight of the 10 victims were underage. Boyce, 40, the father of an 8-year-old daughter, is suspected of being the serial masturbator that has been targeting teenage girls and women in and around Lansdale train station since June 2011, according to police. Hatfield Man Said 'Sin' Made Him Flash Schoolchildren

Richard McConnell, 62, of Hatfield Township, pleaded guilty to indecent exposure after being arrested for showing his genitals to schoolchildren during Olympic Day at a General Nash Elementary School

A Hatfield Township man said "sin" made him show his genitals to two schoolchildren at General Nash Elementary School last May. Richard McConnell, 62, of the 1400 block of Providence Lane, was sentenced to 12 days already served to 23 months in prison, plus two years' probation, after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure, according to The Reporter Online. The indecent exposure occurred May 27, 2011 at General Nash Elementary School in Towamencin. According to the article, Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge William R. Teen Girls Witness Masturbating Man at SEPTA Lot

The serial masturbator strikes again. Lansdale Police said two 16-year-old girls were followed by a man in a black pickup truck to the rear lot of the SEPTA station, where he got out of the car and proceeded to masturbate in front of them. At 7:10 p.m. April 20, police responded to the area of the SEPTA train lot at 101 W. Main St. for a report of indecent exposure. The girls told police they were walking through the lot when they noticed a black pickup truck with a tan stripe, possibly a Ford, slowly following them, police said. When the girls reached the rear lot, the truck stopped, police said. A white male in his mid-20s or early-30s, wearing blue jean shorts, a blue shirt and a dark-colored baseball cap exited the truck, police said. …

Sketch Released of Serial Lansdale Flasher

Police have been searching for the suspect for eight months

Lansdale Police have been dealing with a serial flasher in Lansdale for the past eight months. Police said the suspect has exposed himself to a number of juvenile females. Police have been searching for the male in several indecent exposure cases since May 2011. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, thin build, wearing a baseball cap and, on several occasions, wearing dark sunglasses.   During one incident, the male followed the victims while driving a black, pickup truck, police said A sketch depicting the actor was created with several victims reporting it to be an accurate rendering of him, police said.
