Montgomery Cemetery to Hold Memorial Day Observance

The Historical Society of Montgomery County’s annual Memorial Day Observance will take place on May 25.

The public is invited to the annual Memorial Day Observance, taking place at the historic Montgomery Cemetery, located at One Hartranft Ave. in West Norriton.  The Montgomery County Historical Society organizes the annual observance, which will begin at 11 a.m. The event will feature wreath lying, military reenactors, as well as other ceremonial observances. After the ceremony, light refreshments will be served at around 1 p.m. Other activities of the Memorial Day observance will include walking to certain gravesites. The event is free and open to the public. Two Pedestrians Struck by Cars in Past Week

Police are investigating two instances where pedestrians with baby strollers were hit by vehicles

Lansdale Police are investigating two instances where pedestrians were struck by drivers. In both instances, pedestrians were reported with baby strollers. The first incident occurred Friday morning April 13 at Church and Hancock roads where a woman - known to locals as "The Lansdale Walker" - was reportedly struck by a female driver. The baby stroller was also hit.  The driver pulled over in the area of Penndale Middle School, according to Lansdale Patch readers. The daughter of the victim said her mother and her daughter were rushed to Abington Hospital for treatment.
