Lansdale Woman Injured in New Jersey Crash

Emeline Strobel-Chong, 21, suffered back injuries following an Oct. 7 crash in West Amwell, NJ where she hit another vehicle

A Lansdale woman was injured and subsequently charged in an Oct. 7 crash in West Amwell Township, NJ, according to the Hunterdon County Democrat. Emeline Strobel-Chong, 21, was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center for back injuries, according to the article. Police said Strobel-Chong was northbound on Route 31, when she made a left turn onto Linvale-Harbourton Road into the path of a vehicle driven by James Destefano, 33, of Portland, OR, according to the article. Strobel-Chong was cited for careless driving, according to the article. Destefano’s passenger, Toni Verrilli, 39, of Portland, OR, suffered neck injuries, but  declined medical assistance, according to the article.

Three Injured, One Rescued in Montgomeryville Crash

Two victims were transported to Lansdale Hospital and a third to Abington Memorial Hospital following the Wednesday morning crash at Horsham Road/Route 463 and Upper State Road in Montgomery Township

Three people were injured and one was rescued following a Wednesday morning three-vehicle crash at Horsham and Upper State roads. Police said the accident occurred at 8:18 a.m. A vehicle was turning left from Horsham Road/Route 463 westbound onto southbound Upper State Road, when it was impacted by two vehicles, according to Lt. Gerry Dougherty of Montgomery Township Police. One person was trapped in a vehicle, police said. Two victims were transported to Lansdale Hospital for treatment, and the third was transported to Abington Memorial Hospital, police said. Woman Injured in One-Car Accident in Upper Gwynedd

The woman suffered a medical condition, which caused her to crash into a sign, mailbox and tree on the 1200 block of Dickerson Road

A Lansdale woman who suffered a medical condition while driving on Dickerson Road near Lenape Drive in Upper Gwynedd Monday afternoon was rescued from her Ford Taurus after she crashed into a tree. According to Dan Sokil of The Reporter, the woman of unknown age left the roadway, hit a speed limit sign, re-entered the roadway, hit a mailbox and finally a tree. The car came to rest on its driver side on the 1200 block of Dickerson Road, according to the article. Boy, Woman Injured in Accident After Driver Runs Red Light

A 7-year-old boy was airlifted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a 44-year-old woman from Harleysville was transported to trauma unit at Abington Hospital

A 7-year-old boy was airlifted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a 44-year-old Harleysville woman was transported to the trauma unit of Abington Hospital following a Monday evening accident at Forty Foot and Allentown roads in Towamencin. Police said Joon Hee Park, 27, of Willow Grove drove his 2008 Toyota Camry north on Forty Foot Road and through the intersection at a red light. At around 6:22 p.m., Park's Camry collided with a 1998 Subaru Forester, driven by Denise Mathuthu, 44, police said. Felony Burglary, Trespass Charges Held for Towamencin Man

A Towamencin man who police said was injured when he jumped off a roof of a Derstine Avenue home he allegedly burglarized waived all six charges against him at a preliminary hearing in Lansdale on Monday - including felony burglary and felony criminal trespassing - to Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Bennie Rockeem Hall, 25, of Weikel Road in Towamencin, will face the following charges at his county arraignment: According to the inmate database search of Montgomery County Correctional Facility, Hall was committed in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. A Towamencin man who police allege was trapped inside a home he burglarized on Derstine Avenue in Lansdale was injured after jumping off a roof while escaping from police. He remains hospitalized at Abington Memorial Hospital and an arrest warrant has been issued, police said. Bennie Rockeem Hall, 25, of the 700 block of Weikel Road, Towamencin, is awaiting arrest and arraignment on the following charges: Hall previously pleaded guilty to a 2009 retail theft in Lansdale in January 2010, according to court records. Three-Vehicle Crash Closes Valley Forge Road

A "chain reaction" accident sent one elderly woman to the hospital

A three-car accident in front of the Wawa entrance on Valley Forge Road near Sumneytown Pike in Upper Gwynedd sent one woman to the hospital Wednesday afternoon. There was no fire, as reported earlier by Montgomery County radio and Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch. Sgt. Ted Caiola said one female was taken to Abington Health Lansdale Hospital. The female, who was elderly, was the driver of the Camry. "It was a chain reaction," Caiola said about the accident. Both lanes of Valley Forge Road were closed for about an hour. Man Hospitalized After Bedroom Fire at Parkside Manor Apartments

Careless smoking was the cause of a Monday night fire, according to Fairmount Fire Co. official.

One man was hospitalized following an apartment fire at Parkside Manor Apartments Monday night. At 10:35 p.m., the Fairmount Fire Company responded to a fire call at the apartment complex, located at 319 Whites Road in Lansdale. Upon entry, fire crews encountered a small fire in the apartment's bedroom. According to Roger Pancoast, first assistant chief and president of Fairmount Fire Company, the fire was a result of careless smoking.  Pancoast said that there was no structural damage to the building, but there was some minor property damage, including damage to a mattress and some towels. The male tenant was taken to Lansdale Hospital by Volunteer Medical Service Corps (VMSC) of Lansdale for observation. VMSC responded to the scene for …

I can't understand why the State doesn't require all of the apartments for the retired and assisted living facilities to have emergency doorway identifiers in all of their residential units. They are inexpensive and can help these folks in situations like what happened here.
