Update, Monday, 1:23 a.m. The lost dog has been reunited with her family. Thank you to the community for passing the word around. Earlier Story A black female dog, possibly a Labrador, was found Saturday afternoon in Bustard Road Park in Towamencin. Reader Angela Riley posted a photo of the lost dog on Lansdale Patch's Facebook page. The older female dog was found without tags. She is described as "friendly." The dog is being held at Towamencin Township Police.

A black-and-white mixed breed male dog was found near Babies R Us in Montgomery Township Thursday
Animal Medical Center in Trappe is attempting to return a found 7-month-old black-and-white neutered mixed breed male dog to his owner. The dog was found by Babies R Us on Route 309 in Montgomery Township on Thursday. The dog was brought to the Trappe veterinary hospital to check for a microchip, but he does not have one, according to a Facebook post. Do you recognize this boxer, found Wednesday morning in Lansdale?
Gwynedd Veterinary Hospital in Upper Gwynedd is attempting to locate the owner of a male boxer found running loose in Lansdale Wednesday morning. According to a Facebook post, the neutered boxer mix is about eight years old. The dog is in need of medical attention, according to the post. Want to help the dog? Do you know the owner? Lisa, a hound and mini-pinscher mix, was found by an unknown person walking through the woods to Freddy Hill Farms
Lisa, the hound and mini-pinscher mix, who was last seen at 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, was found dead in the woods by her home. Lisa's owners, Mary, Mike, Zach, Nicole and Bear Jayes, reported she was very close to her home when she was discovered Thursday by an unknown person walking through the woods to get to Freddy Hill Farms in Towamencin. The family believed Lisa was kicked in the head by the deer she was chasing. The family said her body was already in the decomposition stage. If it weren’t for her collar, we would have not been able to identify her," stated the family in an email to Lansdale Patch. The tan Shih Tzu went missing around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday
UPDATE JULY 6, 2012 According to Eileen Erkes, Guinness has been found and safely returned back to his home. Erkes thanks readers who shared the story and Facebook posts to get the word out. EARLIER STORY A tan and brown Shih Tzu named Guinness is lost in the area of Gwyn-Nor Elementary in Upper Gwynedd. Guinness is not microchipped. He is wearing a blue collar and no tag. He was last seen at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Cathys Lane in Upper Gwynedd, according to owner Eileen Erkes. If found, call 215-412-9959.

A $100 reward for the person who brings Lisa home safely to her Towamencin doghouse. Lisa, a hound and mini-pinscher mix, was last seen at 7 a.m. Tuesday near Ide Drive in Towamencin, according to her owner Mary Jayes. Ide Drive is located near Freddy Hill Farms; the neighborhood is located off Green Lane Road and Sumneytown Pike. The owners noted Lisa is afraid of people and hard to catch. She has a hook at the end of her tail and is wearing a bright pink collar. She is microchipped. If you've seen her, call 215-237-6854. Lisa had not returned as of 6 p.m. Wednesday. Lisa was rescued from a flood in Mississippi, stricken with parvo and severely abused, according to Jayes. She was adopted from Wags Rescue and Referral.

Whats going on with all these lost dogs?? I think it should be a requirement to have all dogs & cats micro chipped!!! That way if people are just leaving there dogs/cats cause they dont want them anymore they can be held accountable!!!! Or even if they just get lost, its easier to track the owner!!   more ›
