Graf Engineers, Traffic Planning and Design, and Boucher and James were awarded contracts Monday night for preliminary work for the future recreation community center at Stump and Horsham roads.
An engineering firm from Lansdale, a traffic planning firm from Pottstown, and a landscape architect from Doylestown—the last two being current Montgomery Township-contracted agencies—were awarded contracts Monday night by supervisors for the planning, development, and construction of a future community recreation center at Stump and Horsham roads. According to Dan Sokil of The Reporter, Graf Engineers, in Lansdale was awarded a $106,000 contract for site engineering. Traffic Planning and Design, based in Pottstown, is the contracted township traffic engineer. TPD will contract $20,000 for traffic studies related to the project, Sokil wrote. J. Reckner Associates, a marketing research company with an office in Montgomeryville, is moving to Chalfont.
Marketing research company J. Reckner Associates has announced that it will be closing their Montgomeryville location. Reckner began as a Philadelphia field location for a major market research company in 1978, according to the company's website. In 1991, founder Jane Reckner purchased the company and began expanding. In an e-mail from Peter Grubb, facility manager for J. Reckner, he explained that the Montgomeryville location, located at 589 Bethlehem Pike, was beginning to "show its age" and that Reckner "simply out grew" the space. New donation processing center helps keeps all Impact Thrift stores stocked.
Impact Thrift Stores, with a store in Montgomeryville, has opened a new corporate center, which includes the corporate processing and recycling center. The new center opened in November and all processing - sorting, cleaning, tagging - of donating items happens here. Jill Tarabar, Assistant Director of Business Development, said the new center steam lines the processing process, and helps keep each store stock with what their customers are looking for. For instance, if the Montgomeryville store is low on women's size 10 pants, they can have more shipped to them.
